Beginning Skills for Shy & Fearful Pups
and Dogs of Any Age

Practical Training for Real Life

If your dog is fearful or shy of strangers, an in-person group class is not necessarily the best way to help them, as it can increase their fear. We want to gradually build their confidence and allow them to feel SAFE in their environment.

If your dog is afraid of other dogs, we suggest starting with our “Frolic or Fight” class!

This class is limited to 6 dogs in order to provide the individualized attention needed to address these issues.

  • All Things Shy/Fearful/Anxious Dog – These specific behavior issues are discussed every class.
  • Resources – Detailed homework provided after each class.

We are avid dog park goers and we felt like everyone who goes to a dog park needs to take Holden’s class. Can’t wait for next week’s Matchmaking class!!! Thanks so much, Holden, for an excellent class.”

For Dogs with Leash Reactivity

Practical Training for Real Life

What is leash reactivity? An overly excited dog that lunges, pulls, barks, growls and/or jumps and will not settle down at the site of another dog or stimulant such as skateboards, squirrels, cats, etc. while on-leash, yet loves other dogs and plays well off-leash.

Having a leash reactive dog can feel confusing, frustrating and embarrassing. You are not alone. This live, remote class teaches you skillful handling of your on-leash, reactive dog, as well as learning to read your dog’s body language so that you can respond before he/she reacts. We will teach you environmental awareness and management, plus expert leash skills so that you can be a relaxed team out on walks.

Covid-19 Protocols

Safe, Effective Solutions During COVID-19

Covid-19 protocols are continually changing. We are aware that many industries are relaxing their mask wearing requirements. We are also aware that there are people who teach and attend our classes with compromised immune systems. For these reasons our instructors continue to wear masks and we ask our students to do so as well. We do our best to provide the best training experience possible and use speaker/microphones in the locations where the ability to hear is affected by the use of masks by the instructor.

We are incredibly grateful for all of our clients, and are committed to keeping everyone safe and healthy as we navigate these ever changing times!
